Description
VARIETALS. 72% Petit Verdot, 18% Malbec and 10% Syrah.VINEYARDS. The Petit Verdot is from Villa San Juliette in San Miguel, the Malbec is from the Red Tail Vineyard in Paso Robles, and the Syrah is from Cedar Lane in Arroyo Seco.
WINEMAKING. A unique blend that has been created in honor of not only Vincenzo & Secundo Picchetti, who established their iconic winery in 1896, but also Cameron & Grant Pantling who took over the family business in 1997. Each lot was barrel aged separately in French & American Oak (45% new barrels) for 20-months before blending. This vintage is dark and inviting, and will open up and evolve in the glass leaving you craving more. The perfect gift for any brother in your life!
TASTING
Aroma: Blackberry, black cherry, and toasted oak.
Palate: Rich and smooth with tangy plum sauce notes, lots of dark fruit flavors, dusty chocolate tannins and a long clean finish with great resonance.
FOOD PAIRING. Serve with decadent dishes like braised short ribs, black tea roast duck, and our very favorite pairing of foie gras with mustard seed and green beans.
