VARIETALS. 65% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Graciano, & 5% Merlot
VINEYARDS. The Malbec comes from Red Tail Vineyard in Paso Robles. The Cabernet is a blend sourced from Leslie’s Estate on Montebello Road and Arastradero in Palo Alto. The Graciano is from Terra Alta in Lodi, and the Merlot hails from Dorcich Vineyard in Santa Clara.
WINEMAKING. Picchetti Winery’s signature red blend. Pull the cork on this youthful and vibrant medium-bodied wine, and everyone will smile. Each lot was aged separately in French oak (60% new barrels) for 24-months before blending.
TASTING
Aroma: Bold aromas of licorice, blackberry, black cherry, wild sage, cedar, cigar box, vanilla spice and red plum.
Palate: There is generous weight on the palate, refined, with smooth polished tannins, and a lingering finish that hints of rich cassis and red currant.
FOOD PAIRING. This versatile wine can be featured on almost any dinner table, and the signature peacock feather label makes a beautiful centerpiece. It will easily pair with a variety of dishes such as a grilled New York steak, eggplant parmigiana, roasted chicken, or your favorite burger with melted sharp cheddar.
