Description
VARIETALS. 43% Syrah from Dorcich in Gilroy, 19% Syrah and 14% Grenache from Ventana in Arroyo Seco, and 24% Grenache from Cedar Lane in Arroyo Seco.WINEMAKING. This distinctive blend was crafted in tribute to Vincenzo and Secundo Picchetti, who founded their iconic winery in 1896, and to Cameron and Grant Pantling, who continued the family legacy beginning in 1997. Sourced from cool-climate Monterey County vineyards and aged separately for 18 months in 40% new French oak, this wine is a heartfelt nod to tradition, brotherhood, and family heritage.
TASTING
Aroma: Dark and luscious, with blackberry, black cherry, and toasted oak.
Palate: Rich and smooth, featuring deep, dark fruit flavors of black cherry and ripe berries, complemented by subtle notes of clove, cinnamon, anise, and a touch of black pepper.
FOOD PAIRING. Try it alongside roasted leg of lamb, smoked turkey, braised short ribs, or smoky barbecued meats and sausages, or elevate a special dinner with beef Wellington.
