WINEMAKING. Cultivated at the Cedar Lane Vineyard in Arroyo Seco, Monterey County. Thriving in well-drained soil, this Grenache reflects the unique terroir of its vineyard. Barrel-aged for 18-months in French oak, adding layers of complexity and a touch of oak-induced refinement to the final composition.
TASTING.
Aroma: A rich and opulent red, its nose reveals multi-faceted aromas of dried violets, black cherry, vanilla, lavender, and a subtle hint of ginger.
Palate: Dark raspberry and ripe plum lead the way, with nuances of white pepper, baking spice, and a whisper of smoked tea. Seamlessly balanced tannins support a silky mouthfeel, with a finish that unfolds in waves of long-lasting elegance.
FOOD PAIRING. Pair it with hearty dishes like osso buco, braised short ribs, or Moroccan lamb tagine. It also complements herb-roasted pork, grilled eggplant with tahini, aged Manchego, wild mushroom risotto, and wood-fired sausage pizza.
