The Picchetti Winery and Winery grounds are a private business that operate under a cooperative lease with the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. Picchetti provides a picnic area for their customers on the grounds from 10am to 4pm daily. The Picchetti Winery grounds close promptly at 4pm daily.
Please note, we ask customers who wish to
enjoy our picnic area to please observe the following:
— All of our tables in the picnic areas are available on a first-come/first-serve basis.
— Out of consideration for our other guests, groups are asked to constrain to a single table, regardless of group size (*on Weekends); a single table will seat up to 8 people comfortably.
*Monday through Friday allows for groups to use multiple tables; please call ahead to confirm availability.
— Due to licensing and liability restrictions, we do not allow any “Outside Alcohol.” (“Outside Alcohol” is defined as any alcoholic beverage not purchased from Picchetti Winery on-site the day of your visit.)
— Anyone consuming wine on our premises must be able to prove they are 21 years of age or older. Please have appropriate ID (which meets all applicable California standards) on hand at all times.
— In accordance with our standards of sustainability and our license (which prohibits us from impacting the peaceful environment of our neighbors), we do not permit decorations such as balloons, confetti, large banners, or streamers, nor do we permit amplified music in the picnic area, or elsewhere on the property.
— Children must remain under close parental supervision at all times. Our staff reserves the right to ask that families depart the grounds if supervision does not meet our standards. (Please note, the "rattlesnake" signs are real!).
— No BBQ's, smoking, dogs or ball games of any kind are allowed on the Picchetti Winery grounds. Bicycles must be walked while on our premises.
— Picchetti reserves the right to close any of our picnic areas at any time for winery hosted private events. You may call the winery to confirm any specific picnic area closure to the public or they will be posted on on Public Events page.
— No climbing on our historic buildings; we want all of our visitors to enjoy their timeless beauty.
—Due to the hazards of a working winery, the winery areas behind the tasting room are off-limits. We ask that guests please constrain their enjoyment of our site to the tasting room, the picnic area, and the trails.
— The grounds close promptly at 4pm daily. Please note that we cannot pour wine, or have guests anywhere on the premises, after the posted closing time.
— It is our pleasure to provide you with glassware for the picnic area with your wine purchase with the deposit of a photo ID. We ask that you please return your glassware to a staff member when you have finished enjoying your Picchetti wines.
We have established these policies to ensure a pleasant, peaceful,
and safe experience for all our customers, and
we thank you in advance for your compliance with the above.
