Sourced from 40 year-old vines located in the cool climate and rocky soils of Monterey County, Picchetti’s first-ever Grenache is a rich and opulent red, its nose reveals multi-faceted aromas of dark fruit, blood orange and grapefruit, with spicier impressions of cinnamon, lavender and a hint of dried violets. The entry is velvety and warm, the components on the palate are well-balanced with a tasty vein of acidity, and the complex aromatics return to grace a lengthy finish. Barrel-aged for 18 months in French oak (50% new barrels), this “Old World” style wine is the perfect pairing to spiced and herbed foods including roasted meats, grilled vegetables. Enjoy now through 2023. A Picchetti first!
