Just in time for this magical season of mistletoe, menorahs and merrymaking, we’re excited to announce the release of our 2016 Pinot Noir, which garnered a near perfect 99 points and was chosen Best of California at this year’s prestigious California State Fair wine competition. This small production single-vineyard vintage hails from Los Carneros, a region of Napa greatly influenced by marine-moderated temperatures, with a unique geographic alchemy that creates ideal growing conditions for this somewhat fickle Burgundian varietal. Barrel-aged in French oak (40% new barrels) for 18-months, this spectacular light-bodied wine offers a tightly focused beam of loamy earth, strawberry and blood orange citrus flavors, and is packed with aromas of cedar, vanilla and sweet dried herbs. Firm acidity and delicate tannins focus the palate, and it is blessed with a lingering finish of soft spice and red fruit. It is deliciously approachable now, but will continue to reward through 2024. Pair it with all your favorite vegetarian dishes, Boeuf Bourguignon, wild game, Peking duck and smoked salmon. And, with the holiday season upon us, it is the perfect accompaniment to all of your holiday feast flavors.
This is elegance in a glass!
