A luscious fortified wine, comprised of 60% Petite Sirah & 40% Zinfandel from the Bellicitti Ranch in Saratoga. In the years between 2012 and 2016 we reserved special port barrels we noticed had exotic spices or notable and interesting flavors. Then in the begining of 2018 all those reserved barrels were blended together making the final blend for the NV Port. Fermentation of this unique “vineyard-designated” port was terminated after just a few days by the addition of high proof grape alcohol, creating a wine with substantial natural residual sugar. This elegant dessert wine is lightly touched with vanilla and cinnamon, with a silky mix of medjool dates, dried figs, chocolate and molasses. It gains concentration mid palate, and then lingers through a deliciously smooth finish. Enjoy it at cellar temperature with roasted or grilled game meats, dark chocolate, pungent cheeses and dried fruit, or on its own after a meal. Pure decadence!
