“Sauvignon” comes from the French word sauvage which means wild, and beneath the elegant veneer of this sassy white, you’ll discover a seductive playfulness that’s difficult to resist. Pale straw in color, it has a refined nose with enticing aromas of hibiscus, guava and citrus curd. Penetrating flavors of pineapple, mango and watermelon form an intense core, and the mouthfeel is thirst-quenchingly dry with a fine textural line that lends vitality to the tasting experience. Pure, focused, and laced with a flinty minerality, the flavors carry through to a long, sustained finish. It is ready for immediate enjoyment, and will continue to develop through 2020. A “must pour” during warm weather, this wild child is the perfect match for any dish you would squeeze lemon onto (cold seafood platter, grilled halibut, roast vegetables, etc.). It’s also terrific with Gruyere or chèvre cheese, and anything cooked in garlic.
A cornucopia of tropical fruits!
