This wine, from our 100+ year old estate vines, is spectacular. No wonder this was the one vineyard area the Picchetti family kept in production through Prohibition for their family use! The deep color, full mouth feel and exquisite balance of fruit and tannins make this a truly exceptional wine that we reserve for our Club Members. This vintage was hand sorted, underwent a six-day fermentation and then was aged in 50% new French oak for 24 months. On the nose, which will jump out of the glass...you will detect red fruit, white pepper, anise and earth. The mouth feel is lengthy and will bring out the complex layers of mountain fruit, spice and toast from the barrels. Pair this with an aged Parmesan cheese, your favorite Italian dishes or a luscious pepper steak.
