We love Harry Bellicitti’s Vineyard, which is right on Allendale Avenue in Saratoga. We so appreciate that he has kept his vineyard in the middle of suburbia so we can feel through it the history of wines in the region. Farming in the middle of all the beautiful homes that surround Harry’s vineyard is a labor of love! Again, this beautiful Zinfandel is full of fruit with a great peppery spice finish. The nose has blackberry and lovely smooth tobacco smoke. Very velvety tannins and a great mouth feel. The fruit intensity and firm acidity enable this wine to pair brilliantly with a broad range of foods and dishes. Try it with a slice of Spanish Manchego cheese, Cioppino or any of your favorite, zesty Italian dishes. We tested this vintage with BBQ’d pulled pork sandwiches and it was outstanding!
