Aromas of ripe, red fruit, and cassis from the Sangiovese and black pepper from the Merlot meld perfectly with the sweet toastiness from the barrels. The rich, medium tannins from the Merlot soften the palate and make room for the lively fruit of the Sangiovese. A great wine with all your classic Italian dishes.
